Several years ago, I would not have been so optimistic in my responses, but the positive changes our leadership has made makes us feel like contributing members of Heartland. Finally, the attitude of finger-pointing has diminished and the focus is now on problem-solving and improving processes!

I have worked for Heartland over 9 years. I work in operations, and seeing that the company is trying to really focus on culture is refreshing, as some offices are like poison with the old attitudes. I hope to see resources spent to make changes with culture through indepth training, etc.

That our company offers a package with such a variety of coverages is amazing. I really appreciate the medical/dental coverage provided and the vacation time is a big plus.

The medical and prescription drug coverage. I pay almost nothing for needed medications and our insurance makes necessary doctor visits affordable.

Took on this role when salaries were not where the market was for others. It is not that I feel undervalued but know that other companies pay higher. But money is not everything and what I get from the company and my team in other ways outweighs that. And makes me happy

It's almost a slap in the face to report our most profitable quarter ever, yet put off raises. A raise would make me feel better.

The rate of pay is not in alignment with other businesses in same field. The responsibilities seem to outweigh the benefits. This year our benefits (insurance) rates increases and also added charges that were not in our previous plan and the benefits themself are not as good.

We are losing all of our great people to bad companies that pay more. The company is making money, share the wealth. I have had a 1. 2% increase in the last 3 years. I don't want to have to work two jobs during the holidays.

Employee morale of our payroll specialists is very low in conjunction with negative attitudes. Some days I dread coming in because I feel like this is the day that some of my subordinates will give up and make work more difficult for me and their peers.
