What do you like best about the leadership team?
Patreon's mission is to get creators paid & the fact that this entire company was born out of the experience of our CEO Jack Conte, a musician/creator himself, makes us uniquely positioned to serve our users and make a tangible impact on their lives and livelihoods.

They're openness and honesty. I appreciate their ability to be a true human. We are all hear to learn, share ideas, and make mistakes.

They're positive, flexible with meetings, and seem to genuinely care about employees and their wellbeing.

They are on point regarding the mission, they have all hands meetings for the whole company so we are aligned on mission and objectives, and they have exec all hands meetings where anyone can ask the exec team about work-related matters.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The annual $3,000 Learning & Development stipend & the monthly $380 Lifestyle/Wellness stipend (which ends up being nearly $5,000 annually) are the best benefits I've ever received.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It feels as if my role has morphed and now encompasses several different roles that were not within the job description I applied for.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Although we have clear-cut roles & responsibilities, no one is "above" any task or project. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer seemingly out of the blue last month & my manager & senior teammates have pitched in to handle the big & little things to give me the space (& family time) I need.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Although the company's employees are varied in life & career experiences, the mission of getting creators paid is extremely unifying; in other words, you automatically have that in common with anyone you encounter, which makes working together feel both ambitious & rewarding.

The people at Patreon are creative, kind, interesting and caring. Everyone here is focused on the mission and wants to see each other succeed.

People are relaxed but effective at getting things done. We work for artists and creators so there is an artistic vibe in the office. It's a startup so yes, we're all busy, but we have time to connect with one another. It's a really wonderful place to work.

I was asked questions about my thought process and behavior in certain scenarios. It was insightful, and not the run of the mill interview.

What makes you most happy at work?
I'm in an external-facing role meaning that I interact directly with the creators (our users) & get to share with them the progress that is made internally, much of the time on initiatives inspired by the creators themselves. That's super rewarding.
