I've been with The Home Depot long enough to understand a great deal about the inner workings of Operations, and I feel we do a great job at our store to take care of each of our customers, even if they don't always feel we make every effort to do so.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We're given the space to do our job without constant interruptions, so that we can remain focused.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Each manager has their strengths at what they do, and usually work well together without any dissension in the ranks.
What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing that I take care of multiple customer's projects and do my best to make sure their orders go smoothly from beginning to end.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The manager I interviewed with made me feel at ease and not scared about my time talking to him. It made the interview easy to speak to my strengths.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Consistency in our department. We know exactly what our job is and we do it well... and we question requests even with management when asked to do something that isn't per SOP.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I wish our bi-yearly success sharing actually paid out decently to those who work hard but may not be as high up. It would encourage others to work harder if they knew they'd receive more. Some people, like myself tow the line and pick up the slack for many others, including some higher than us.
