I joined at the worst possible time: just before the pandemic hit. In a crisis you see the true face of a company, and my experience so far has been even better than I expected, even with the pandemic. I truly feel trusted, valued, recognized, and see myself grow further in this caring environment.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Culture is the number one priority when hiring. Skills and knowledge can be taught, but you need to hire the people who fit the culture. You really see the results of this, Workday has a really strong, open, inclusive, positive, diverse, ... culture, that appears in everything we do.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They walk the walk! What you find on our website about culture is put into practice every single day - no empty management slogans! While many companies say that they value their employees, Workday puts its employees first (even before the customer!) because happy employees will go above and beyond!
What makes you most happy at work?
Feeling recognized and rewarded for my work. The effort that you make as an employee is not taken for granted. In this company we live by the motto that if one fails, we've all failed: we all ensure one another's success, everyone around you will support you. Plus customers love is!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
This is the first job ever where I feel that I'm being rewarded better than what I deserve. And even if I have admitted to my Manager that I'm more than happy with my compensation, I have still regularly received (significant) increases. Plus there are a lot of good surprises (bonus, stock, ...)
What are some of the best things about your team?
Every employee on the team fits with the Workday culture. As our CEO's state it, we're nice guys kicking a**. In almost 3 years at Workday I haven't met a single person that I don't like. Also, everyone is committed to do the best job, but furthermore to help everyone around them be their best self.
