What are some of the best things about your team?

The breadth of knowledge and experience that they bring.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Putting engineering and the product first, we are alienating our core customer base with bugs, performance and cost concerns.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I've met all metrics for promotion other than an arbitrary bureaucratic "time in role" condition even though I have as much industry experience and ability as colleagues two positions higher than me.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Let me not be bored, our team has long term goals/projects to work on but everything has to go through so many levels of management we can hardly ever make any progress.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

A focus on unblocking our teams, allowing them to operate independently towards shared goals. As is, there is far too much bureaucracy and middle management that slows everything down. This is demoralising, people want to do good work and are being prevented from doing so.
