What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, and thinking long term. While I understand things will change often due to the nature of the business and it being a start-up, but it seems like we are working one way, then switch to a different way every other month. A clear plan needs to be made and stuck to.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
OTC, earnings potential is high, but you'll need to work hard for it

I appreciate that leadership realized that my comp plan was a bit unrealistic based on our current sales numbers, so they proactively created a solution for the short term that gets me to where I need to be for the year

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel my hard work often goes unnoticed and there is never any good feedback. I get the feeling they feel I'm not doing enough. Also, I was getting paid less than one of my direct reports up until they were fired after I had been here half a year already.

There are no performance reviews which makes the opportunity to discuss compensation sparse. Something standardized to review salary on (at least) an annual basis would be impactful.

Every one of them is unique and very supportive. The office environment allows for interaction across multiple departments too so it's really what you make of it. I've enjoyed my time with everyone so far - even more so outside of work.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Very collaborative, people go out of their way to help, flat structure allows for easy communication across the business, management promotes conversations to fix issues

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
(#) Company events more often.(#2) We should also do company trips or incentives if we hit certain numbers/quotas - this gives people goals and motivation. (#1) We should also try summer hours on Fridays (i.e. Get off early).

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There just isn't much focus on positives... We're constantly putting out fires and talking about the things that went wrong or need to be improved. And when it feels like it takes forever to make proactive steps forward, it leaves less to be excited about.

More structure and understanding would be helpful. It gets a little worrisome when you don't feel confident in what is going on with the company and how your role fits and where you are goihng.
