It has been a wonderful experience until AT&T decided to eliminate talented successful high performing virtual employees for reasons that nobody believes.

They strive to show empathy in the face of illogical demands from above.

Annual bonus is based on factors that derive from me and my team' contributions.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

We are all in the same business, connecting people to make their lives easier.

The culture of the workers is still strong and committed even in the face of terrible decisions being made by leadership.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Keeping talent instead of forcing valued team members to report to a different location or leave when they have been working successfully virtually since prior to the COVID pandemic. Ruining families, friendships, and lives for an explanation that even our own leaders do not believe in.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The recent effort to eliminate virtual employees and those not in the designated locations has decimated much of my team, and spirit, and we are now scrambling to ensure things still work. We used to have great diversity of thought and talent and collaborated effectively regardless of location.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

RTO was a surplus in disguise. It forced many to relocate unnecessarily in order stay employed in this bad job market and others to leave. We have lost so much talent as a result and now have overcrowded workspaces that require long commutes and early start times in order to get a seat.
