AT&T – I have a lot of mixed feelings about working at AT&T. The general employee population is wonderful, I've had great experiences in all my roles, and the benefits make a big impact in my day-to-day. However, I often find myself morally at odds with decisions made by executive leadership. | Comparably

What makes you most happy at work?

When I'm able to easily do something that people think will be hard, or when I have that 'aha' moment when working on my code.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I most appreciate the tuition reimbursement, the EAP, and having a nearly full-service doctor's office in the HQ building. I also appreciate how comprehensive our eye insurance is and the discounts we can get on various services like pet insurance and car rentals.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is full of people who are knowledgeable about what they do, willing to learn what they don't know, and always want to lend a helping hand. I work with people who are truly kind and care about their coworkers past just the work they do.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I feel like I can be transparent about what I do and don't know and ask for help when I need it. While expectations for my performance are high, I'm comfortable letting my peers/supervisor know when I'm struggling to meet those expectations and could use help or guidance.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The feeling that my superiors care about me as a person drops off after my AVP. I know my boss, my director, and my AVP generally know/care about my wellbeing, but I think my superiors higher than that think of me as another number/salary to pay out. I think that should change
