Get a competitive salary taking into consideration the skills displayed on the role and how they are valued on the current market

The fact that with my current position I'd be earning way more on almost every other company in the industry. A fair salary or more options to get promoted would improve this situation.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
some months ago there was this same kind of survey and it didn't change anything even though many coworkers submitted the same type of issues with practical solutions, so not much of a point in making that long explanation again.
