I believe there is an opportunity for improvement within Vitacost/Kroger. Management could be realigned, and more opportunities for hourly associates, and a pay increase for the tenure associates. We were told that we had maxed out but never shown what the pay grade/top pay is for the jobs performed
What makes you most happy at work?
The associates and knowing they are taking pride in performing their job.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team is willing to work the required hours and perform the job to the best of their ability. The interaction with each other is amazing. We support each other and are willing to help each other when needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The associates are positive and want to work with each other. However, we are full time associates and we aren't getting full time hours. A lot of associates lose their government benefits because of overtime and now we can't get 40 hours.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I personally haven't received a raise since 2019. Vitacost is trying to be competitive with the local job market by increasing the wages of some associates to 15.37. However, the tenure associates, like myself, were not offered any type of increase, nor a cost of living, INFLATION is on the rise.
