One of the worst retail jobs I could imagine. I warn people from applying because no one should wake up and hate themselves because of their job. no one should have to deal with the nonsense of working for this horrible company. Once I quit ill never spend another dime there! Mark my words!
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people that come in and work are usually great. I get to meet many types of people I wouldn't meet in my life.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The way employees are allowed to be treated while at work is just flat out ridiculous. Management is the number one cause, the issue is the higher up the manager, the more rude and disrespectful. I've dealt with the union to no results.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I can't honestly say there are positives to working at Kroger. I've been at many different stores and at each store the quality of work, the quality of humans you hire get worse and worse. I'm looking forward to quitting and putting Kroger in my rearview mirror.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The management at Kroger needs to learn how to manage, how to listen and show respect to everyone. You get what you give, and it shows working at Kroger. I hate my job simply because of upper management, throwing hourlys under the bus, refusing to put in work to help. Its ridiculous.
