It's been very disappointing. I came in with high hopes if it being a place I could grow both professionally and in my career, but it's just a paycheck anymore. Opportunities for advancement are non-existent in my area of work, and the ones in charge are not leaders, just people with authority
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Better communication about change and providing adequate compensation and staffing
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are able to lift each others spirits if having a rough day and the interactions we have keep things light and fun yet on task
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, recognizing employees for their accomplishments and contributions, squashing cronyism, providing a work environment that you aren't in constant fear of being laid off or having pay and/or hours cut
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Individual contributions have saved the company millions of dollars but we have not had raises in 3 years despite the CEO and top 5 in the company getting $18 million plus raises this past year
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
The time it took to be offered the job. I went through 2 interviews over the course of 2 months for my position and it took another 2 months to get started at my job due to background checks, etc.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There are no opportunities to be had, and the ones in charge show a bad example (habitually tardy, lazy, etc.). Hours have been cut across multiple departments leaving them short staffed, yet are still expected to perform at the highest level. Every day is lived in fear of losing your job
