Experience and knowledge about the subject matter. I feel like I am constantly learning more effective ways to work and new technologies with the people around me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The compensation (depending on which product you support) has been a roller coaster experience. There are no clear goals to earn better compensation unless you are in sales. This can make one feel like giving it 110% helps the company but not your bottom line.
