they constantly rethink current processes and try to make a step into the right / a better direction. It seems they are not afraid of loosing some "formal competences" (like the amount of people directly reporting to them)
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
if you are an experienced developer, coming from some other company, you usually don't make a big leap forward in regards of payment. It's like you're getting (at most) the same as before. It seems like you get a step back and (hopefully) make some further steps forward after some while..
