Our team is unpretentious, we genuinely care about our customers and are motivated by this. We don't need top-down leadership and we want to be included in decision making. Great people.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Our leadership could improve by evolving with the times and embracing the more progressive ideals and values that are important to the millennial generation. People and purpose before profit. Adopt a more intimate and real approach to caring about our people. Support them with a coaching org.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
My boss has a top down leadership style that is hurting our culture. He does not trust the team, is not transparent, has controlling tendencies, and uses fear and intimidation to try and motivate people. I wish he was more the kind of leader described by Simon Sinek in "Leaders Eat Last".
