I was with grainger for many years. I've seen them try to implement many new business models and they will push through even if its to the detriment of both the company and employees. When the did the massive layoff they acknowledge they made a grave mistake but to late to stop.

get better sales managers for National Accounts, some are good, but half are just as bad, only care about themselves, not their employees

at this point there is no fix. They chose to eliminate all of their seasoned sales folks and hire part time replacements. This is a company that sells industrial supplies, you need to know the products and their applications. It takes on average, 5 years to really learn the products.
