Worked here for 10 months or so, the job is brutal, you cant have a life and work at amazon. If you're a favorite you'll go far,even if you're lazy. If you're the guy who just shows up and does their job you wont. Expect long hours, and mental strain on life balance.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My first manager i had was a great guy, made me feel like i wanted to be there, since he left its been terrible.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
an ACTUAL interview. They dont care who you are, if you have a pulse and no criminal background your hired because they have a 150% turnaround rate.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, they're really bad at communicating what they expect of you until its too late, and you have a write up. They dont issue the write ups they are all based on an AI algorithm that picks and chooses based of "performance".
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
They expect you to work like a machine. 10 hours of repetitive tasks with no social interactions at all. all in all this company does NOT care about its employees to them you're a cheap alternative to a robot that can do the same job.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
16.50 an hour in an inflated market is too low, for the job they want you to do. 10 hour shifts + mandatory extra time 1 time per week, 50 to 60 hours per week. During Peak they expect 12 hour shifts and 1 extra day (60) hours a week.
