Very intense work environment. High degree of ownership is excellent at times and very intense/pressurized at others. Not a warm place to work, but a great place to experiment, fail and learn a lot about how to pilot and scale new programs/businesses.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Amazon leadership knows how to operate at global scale.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Lots of super smart people, and very few people who are outright rude/uncollaborative, at least in my organization. But the pace is blistering and it can easily bring out the stressful side of people (including myself).
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel Amazon demands several jobs of each employee, and doesn't care if this creates massive amounts of stress/bandwidth pressure. Overall compensation is also significantly below market rate and I believe Amazon's leadership is not truly interested in addressing this problem.
