What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Transparency and trust - I believe that I can generally get straight answers from people and trust them to listen to me
What makes you most happy at work?
Working with others (customers or colleagues) to explore new opportunities, run experiments and make real forward progress. Aka the first part of product development cycle.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I could go to another company and make more for less responsibility. HubSpot has a great culture though and I get given a lot of autonomy which I appreciate and it's why I stay,
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Could make $20k more base by switching companies. Unfortunately (for HubSpot) since Product and Engineering was so flexible before the pandemic, a hybrid work environment isn't a perk and the current office culture is sad, even if snacks + gym are back. Nothing noticeable has been added.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work well together and ship good products regularly. They're smart and empathetic. They push me in my work but also encourage me to take care of my life outside of work. For the most part, I can trust them and know they have my back, so I don't feel like I'm doing things on my own.
