I like the balance of life and work at HubSpot. I get rest and relaxation but also am challenged and get to work with really smart people. We have a barrier for POCs. Most people I know who are women or POCs have to PUSH for a promotion. They aren't recognized and moved up based off of work.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I feel valued. But that hasn't occurred very often.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are all kind people that love to collaborate and support me.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Having a culture that encourages mental and physical wellness. I get plenty of recharge time which I NEED.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They do create an environment of work life balance which in today's world is so important. We get plenty of rest.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have interviewed other places and most would consider me at a higher role and/or salary plus give me a bonus if the company is doing well (stock or cash). I like the culture so I'll stay here for now but as a Black woman I need to think about gaining wealth for not only me but for my family.
