We try to be an empathetic company, prioritize psych safety, place extreme priority on work life balance and flexibility, etc.
I am a top performer in my department but know that anyone who isn't a software engineer is terribly underpaid and undervalued. It is a slap in the face to know that engineers with worse performance ratings got higher raises than I did.
