I've enjoyed my time at HubSpot. I've grown a lot as a professional as well as personally. I think there are a lot of challenges that come with hyper growth but I'm still interested in seeing things through for as long as I can.
I've mostly had a great experience. Lately (in the last year or so) I've felt we've outgrown our resources where it's a lot harder to do my job.
Working on challenging problems with my peers.
Transparency and being accountable to mistakes.
Unlimited PTO and flexible working hours
Unlimited PTO and flexible working hours
The flexibility and ownership you have over your work and schedule.
Flexibility to structure your work around your life and not vice versa
Consistent updates on how the business is performing via AMAs and slack channels
Everyone does want to connect on some level which makes remote meetings and conversations easier.
Our core values (HEART) where there's a of empathy and adaptability in the day to day.
My coworkers and feeling like I am having a real impact on how this business is run.
I love the empathy and transparency they show. They're all incredible accomplished individuals but show up as real humans.
We have empathy for each other during the the changes and thrash of working at a large scale up.
HubSpot encourages you to be your most authentic self at work which has helped me form great relationships with my peers.
I like my peers and working to solve hard problems on how we can grow better as a company with them.
Our core values are Humbleness, Empathy, Adaptability, Transparency and Remarkability. That constant combination of how we want to present ourselves and hire for has made our culture the way it is today (extremely positive).
I love being able to by my most authentic self with my teammates. It's helped my build meaningful and genuine relationships where whether I'm having a good or bad day I enjoy coming into work.
Their transparency in communicating both good and bad news, the commitment to the business and having a positive internal and external brand, and the support they give in it being ok to need or take a break.
I think there's a lack of transparency in our comp bands where I've realized after the fact I was underpaid. I think different depts are skewed in the "market average" and I think we could be much more competitive.
I'd like HubSpot to do a better job aligning with the industry in more departments than just engineering. Leads and managers are also doing a lot more work in a remote environment where higher pay and recognition would be appreciated.
