Managers in my store are salaried, and so don't always have to keep track of their hours. Because of this, many of the managers in my store come in late and leave early, sometimes several hours early, leaving more work for their staff.

Medical coverage and low cost for insurance

Our pay scale is horrible for those of us who have been with the company for years.

I live in one of the most expensive housing markets in the country. The work I produce would be paid at $35 an hr with a local business but I make 21.76.

I feel like we should be paid enough to afford rent and food with out assistance we are only paid more when the government says so, bot because management wants to take care of their employees.

Full-time employees aren't eligible for health benefits until they have been employed for 90 days, and HR drags their feet about it even after the 90 day threshold has passed.

Cashiers need to be trained a little more before getting thrown on a register.

First thing is that management needs to speak to the employees and ask how they day is going or something.

It's not uncommon for tasks to be left unfinished with the assumption that the next shift will get to them (dishes, stocking, etc.) and this tends to cause unnecessary friction between the shifts.

I was a transfer so it was quick and easy. Boss was excited by my previous experience with the company.

Well, the hiring manager decided to take a vacation (no, it wasn't medical leave, it was a week trip to Vegas or something) just after posting the hiring notice. So, I had to come back once or twice, but she pretty much hired me on the spot after that.

When things are neat, organized, completed, & not only when people pick up after themselves but when they consider others around them & the next shift coming in. (Which HARDLY EVER happens)

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management is lazy and has no desire to do anything but kiss up to corporate and mock employees and customers. They run the good managers and employees off and the cycle continues.
