What does the leadership team need to get better at?
store manager doesn't take mental health and employees with disabilities seriously and works them to the bone

Value your employees and listen to their feedback. They are the ones in the stores working with products and customers. Working from an office daily with no interaction does not make you an expert on what should be done, why and how. Start caring about employees instead of your bonuses.

Better leadership in general. Hire leaders that know how to do an exceptional job & have high standards. Leaders that listen to their employees input & focus on building a dream team. Working together as one focused united team. Someone that can make great decisions & is able to improvise if needed.

they need to give back to the community and encourage their employees to make goals and start up fundraisers for their community. My town was hit from the fires and Hallmark did NOT help the community.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There are zero benefits to this position. Currently looking for another job. The expectations are not achievable. The hours have been cut dramatically and the work load expected has been doubled. They still expect a high standard of work yet do not give the time to achieve this.

there are days i go above and beyond for my store and my work goes unappreciated or unknoticed. it isn't a fun job. i come home in so much pain and in tears every single day i work

Working minimum wage for expecting to work at a store that receives cases of shipment and only giving an hour, hour and a half to get job done and move on is unrealistic. Especially when we have to build displays on top of that. Shipment is VERY HEAVY and the job is worth more than minimum wage.

some of my coworkers are amazing. others i can't stand to be around. so many times politics, religion, and vacations keep getting brought up with the coworkers i can't stand being around

Nothing. When you see a fast turnover and corporate does nothing to figure out why and what they can do to prevent it, you know they could care less about you and just keep looking for more people who will leave as well in the future.

Interview was easy but it took them 3 1/2 weeks to get me onboard. It should never take that long.

Initial vetting occurred during covid mandates, so I really liked that they offered a (pre-call) text version of the interview l.

its terrible. people come in in jeans and a t-shirt for the interview and is seen as acceptable interview attire which is not correct
