I look at it as just a paycheck and a means to an end. I feel like both myself, many of my co-workers, and management are just going through the motions for the most part.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It has been over 6 years since I interviewed for a job so I cannot really remember any details.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is very small and we have worked together for almost 6 years so we just click well and know how each other works.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
It is hard for me to give detail since the leadership team has had a lot of turnover over the last few years for well publicized reasons.
What makes you most happy at work?
The rare occasion where I get a new task and I am able to complete it well. This is entirely internally driven as I would be unlikely to get any recognition.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Make meaningful changes, raises, promotions, etc. instead of just the lip service of saying they listen and care about their employees. We have heard the same story for years while very little if anything changes.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
For the last several years raises have been well below the COLA level along with below target bonuses all while they have made the annual review process less and less transparent or meaningful and the cost of benefits has increased. Also internal promotions are a myth at this point.
