Joining HashiCorp was a terrible mistake. I'm only sticking around long enough to see my options vest and really make sure I don't make the same mistake joining another bad company.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
There is no sense of camaraderie. We are all mercenaries.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
HashiCorp is losing steam because its only focused on integrating with internal products.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The company only cares about certain products, and other product lines are severely understaffed and overworked.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We need a new COO and organization. Everyone defaults to Slack messages and impromptu Zoom calls, nothing is written down or documented.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm expected to perform 2 levels above where I am paid and my manager tells me that my work is not valuable.
