IBM Product Teams or highly skilled service teams like Cloud Garage and Labs should be paid competitively including stock/equity like other product companies. If not, talent will leave the company.

IBM Cloud Garage has its own unique culture similar to Pivotal Labs. Startup perks in a big company, focus on eXtreme Programming, design thinking, and TDD. Empathy toward customer. Amazing travel opportunities and high impact projects.
