Better than average, but bogged down by older methodologies and bureaucracy. Even when we innovate, we tend to shy away from actually tackling existing issues that sort-of work as is.
What are some of the best things about your team?
That we pull together and are willing to help each other out at a moments notice.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
That we all believe in the help and safety we help provide to our end users. We save lives.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
That we still have one that is mostly comprehensive. There is a lot of room for improvement, but it is above industry standard.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I get to properly explore new technologies, finally rework/kill a dinosaur we are supporting, or am challenged to solve a new problem that isn't just a google query away.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Focusing on actually improving the product instead of purely on selling more ads and cost cutting. Primarily, I think that they should focus on rewriting large sections of the APIs to be much more performant and nimble.
