Overall the company of IBM is fantastic as far as benefits etc. But they need to take a deeper dive into the depths of the departments and businesses they have consumed. A lot of these do not feel apart of the great goal of IBM, or at least have not been informed of that.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I am not currently in an environment were creativity, growth and the prospects of my career future are encouraged.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing about our culture is the benefits, the flexibility of time off and the time aloud to handle family matters etc.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I do not feel financially that I am compensated fairly compared to my peers. I feel like I am not paid enough to deal with the hassle, drama, and management of my fellow employees, without a senior title or leadership role.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership team needs to get to know employees on a personal level. They need to set clear expectations and clear path for success. Rather than just randomly promoting others without any additional responsibility. They need to find out how their teams are operating together.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My coworkers need to set personal agendas aside. IBM gives us great perks and flexibility. But when others come to work with their own set of goals for the day, the main priority, the actual work gets set aside and we don't come out with a quality product.
