I like how they are communicating more with the company as a whole. It helps to let people know what the leadership is focused on and that helps to focus the company.
Came into IBM through an acquisition. Compensation post acquisition and retention agreement is significantly lower than pre acquisition. IBM stock does not have the upside potential the startup had, and IBM travel policy (per diem, and corp card) had significant negative impact to total compensation
I love my team! It's one of the main reasons I have not left IBM. They are a great group of intelligent people, who genuinely care about each other, and don't take work too seriously. They buckle down when necessary, but do not over stress when things do not workout.
IBM is such a large company, I believe there are many cultures within IBM, and trying to act like there is only one global culture, I think, is one of the main problems with IBM. You can not expect a company this large to have a single culture, better too allow for unique subcultures to develop IMO.
