As an early career sales professional, part of my incentive pay is tied to training and professional growth rather than simply how much money I make. This encourages me to dedicate time to learning rather than just grinding to generate sales opportunities.
I feel as though IBM is really good at backing up the statement that they care about their employees. I recently went through some challenges with my personal health, and my manager/team were very understanding and the benefits and resources IBM provides helped me get through with little disruption.
My team has a balanced mix of early career and experienced professionals. As an early career professional it helps to have coworkers in my stage of life who can relate to my perspectives and my position as a younger IBMer, but also experienced professionals who can 'take me under their wing.'
