Work is hard to understand, but for the year that I had an attentive manager, it was satisfying. The 6 months before & after that manager were boring and slow, I wasn't being challenged and I felt forgotten. I stay at IBM because of good work/life balance and great Diversity & Inclusion communities.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Virtual strangers are very nice and helpful. I've reached out to IBMers across the country seeking advice and resources and have always gotten positive responses.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I work better with people that I know outside of our work. The coworkers I currently interact with the most don't seem to care about getting to know each other. I understand that work comes first but this affects my confidence and comfort level, and it makes my job extremely unsatisfying.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
My coworkers don't improve based on feedback, which makes them frustrating to work with. I've been moved to be under a new manager 3 times in my 2 years here so my growth has been slow and my latest manager is too busy to meet with me half the time. I think a more caring team overall would help.
