I came here to be part of something bigger, get the proper instruction, learn from the over 100 years of experience at the company, but everyone is so new, or those that have been around, don't want to lose time to teach the newer people. People will answer questions and try to help, but its hard.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
That they are working towards a vision, just unclear on how they will get there.
What makes you most happy at work?
Trying to be successful. I want to deliver, just feel a bit lost at times.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We come from all walks of life, but at the end of the day we get along well and bounce ideas off each other.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I wasn't given the amount I wanted and was told it was too high, but the person I got hired was given that amount and we have a similar background. Commissions are not well defined and hard to calculate your pay. Benefits are too expensive for such a large org.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Have a better structure and teach the sales team the fundamentals of being successful. People come to IBM for the opportunity but also to learn form the many years that IBM has been in business. Listen to the employees and not just want to make a difference, but actually make a difference.
