I work in a licensed Starbucks. We're understaffed and I've had to take it upon myself to seek out resources to take over things like ordering and training when my bosses have been unable or unwilling to. That said, my coworkers are wonderful!

What makes you most happy at work?
Making customers happy, be it with a drink they clearly enjoy or chatting and seeing their mood improve.
What did you like most about the interview process?
My interview was one phone call, I never had to go in person- probably thanks to the current labor shortage
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I feel like my coworkers and much of management care about me and one another as people, so will do what they can if people need help or support.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work together and seem to genuinely care about one another's well-being. Any frustration is never taken out on one another; people are good about asking for and giving help and explanation, and have been responsive when changes are asked of us.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am often left alone on shifts that, at proper staffing levels, would have two or three employees. I routinely do tasks my area lead should be doing, but Target policy nitpick things like coming in or staying too early/late even though my bosses acknowledge we are stretched thin.
