Everyone is focused on the same goals and if an issue arises, leadership has as much a sense of urgency as those beneath them.
I was interviewed by the individual who was to be my manager, so I got a good sense of personality, priorities and working environment before ever accepting the position.
They really care - not just about your work performance, but about YOU. We know what's happening in each others lives and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and the such.
I know I'm paid less that others in my area holding similar positions. I stay because I love my manager and team...but sometimes it's tempting to listen to the headhunters!
