Some coworkers do seem to be clockwatchers and the rest of us have to sort of work around them. Upper management seems disconnected and communication is sometimes sparse.

The pay is awful Fast-food chains are paying $15 starting wage $2.00 higher than I make as an optician. It is very difficult to get answeres about benefits and employee rights.
Amazon: It's a tough job and they make it clear you are expendable, but the money is good

McKinsey & Company: What started out as a roll that promised a lot of growth potential slowly degraded into little more than a "call center" job within 4 years. The executive assistants in the service centers are treated differently (worse) than the in-office executive assistants in the other locations.
