I love The Breakers. It is like my second home and I could never ever repay them for the wonderful experince of working here. Anything not positive I may have shared was ONLY in the spirit of giving very honest feedback - I absolutely feel that overall The Breakers is an AMAZING place to work!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
While of course not PERFECT (no one is!) i do believe that our leaders genuinely care about the team members, guests, and community, and try to do the right thing by all of us.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love my dirext management team. They CONSISTENTLY go above and beyond to help me in any ways that I need. It helps me be at my best for my work life and my personal life.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
"No" was not a fully correct answer, but I selected it because "Sometimes" was not an option. I struggle sometimes interacting with my coworkers that do not hold pur standards as highly as I do. I get frustrated when people prefer to do things "fast" instead of correctly.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Please do not get me wrong - i make very good money and i am thankful - but that money does not come from the COMPANY. It comes from our guests. It can get disheartening during slow times. $2.35/hour is not very much for how much work we still do, even when it is slow.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being put in a position where i can perform my job with EXCELLENCE, and not placed in a situation where things are crazy and out of control. I LOVE being able to serve and interact with my guests in a way that both honors all of our standards and also allows me to be true to my own personality.
