The manager has a big impact on your daily environment but they are not all monitored on how they support their employees. So when working for a poorly skilled manager, there is no method for their improvement (standardized process across all states).
Being a true leader, identifying issues correctly before making accusations, rolling out new trainings or software, creating a pay structure where sales folks are compensated with attainable targets, removing how your pay is impacted by factors beyond your control, and stop over working their staff.
The manager needs to be trained on how to lead and support her staff. She doesn’t hold up her portion of responsibility & it is overlooked by the director as they are friends. The entire work group is suffering with no hope for change until a new manager is awarded the existing role.
