
Communication! Communication! Communication! Leaders need to be accountable for their actions. Clearly communicate goals and consistent actions will provide a more positive and pleasant environment for all. Knowing what’s expected can have a smoother work flow.
There is much to say about the company’s leadership team. Most managers are so consumed by achieving goals they forget to empower their staff and team members. Integrity is rapidly falling amongst the newer managers promoted. Not all are like this but the majority have fallen prey.
Having a disconnection from the top trickles down. Each person needs to have a clear understanding of their duties and need to be able to achieve them in the time allotted. More jobs are reduced and the work load increases however, a 1% raise is not fair compensation if that much.
At one time UPS was a great company to work for which was employee focused and service driven. Since they have gone public the focus is on making a profit at ANY cost. They have reduced the incentives and benefits for the employees. The company has changed, in becoming less focused on its service.
