Team is not stressed and the focus at UPS is more along the lines of if I want your opinion I’ll give it to you mentality.
First of all we have little leadership outside of name and title. They would do good by letting someone like myself teach the John maxwell developing the leader in u course.
I tell people all the time that the Bobby Knight style of coaching worked well during the 80’s & 90’s but isn’t Tolerated in 2018 The same can be said for that management style . To bad UPS doesn’t get it!!
Start by listening to the boots on the ground and STOP placing people in positions of leadership hoping they will figured it out. Any good manager of a team should be able to access and put the right people in the position that best strengths the team. Recruit, develop, deploy works best!
