I am always impressed with our officer's salaries, they make hardly anything. Because of the type of work the organization does, it has to compete with the market and ends up paying some pretty high salaries for non-officer positions. I am impressed with the uniformed officers!

The expectation for staff is to give it all you've got until you burn out. Once you burn out, you're not worth anything. I learned that self-care is preached, but not mandatory. No job training, but the expectation is success.
