Employee morale is poor due to the fact that most managers do absolutely nothing except push the employees to get credit cards so that they can get their bonuses. Employees get no incentive for getting credit card applications. Poor work environment.

Family Dollar Stores: I keep getting threats of being fired while they have an assistant manager that drinks beer while on the job working the cash register
Hannaford Supermarket: The store manager is great. But the assistants are awful. Front end alone has alot of flaws. The CSM they appointed, doesn't know how to do her job. You have new hires getting thrown into positions, with little practice. The new assistant csm Trainee knows more and does more than the actual ones.

I also recently have been threatened to be fired for calling in when the times that I have called in is because of my schizophrenia being out of control which the company knows I have the illness and do not seem to care.

It's somewhere in the middle, and can tip either way depending on various factors. But, I've also helped out at other Dollar General's, and seen worse and better.
