Elaina Shekhter

Ms. Elaina Shekhter has been Chief Marketing Officer and SVP at EPAM Systems, Inc. since March 2015 and served as its Global Head of Travel and Consumer Industry Business Unit. Ms. Shekhter is responsible for driving the strategy and execution for EPAM's Travel and Consumer business across EPAM's global delivery and client service locations. She manages the Travel and Consumer Business Unit. She joined EPAM Systems in 2001 and has been instrumental in driving the development of several service lines and accelerators, most notably in the Customer Relationship Management (explain what CRM is) area. she served as Vice President for Business Solutions of Epam Systems, Inc. Prior to joining EPAM, Ms. Shekhter was with the travel and marketing giant, Carlson Companies, in a number of Operational and Business Development roles including Head of Retail and Entertainment for 24K, a spin-off of Carlson Marketing Group. Prior to Carlson, she served as a Manager with Ernst and Young Consulting, specializing in CRM and Analytics engagements for notable clients such as 3M and GE. Ms. Shekhter holds an MS degree in Information Systems and BS/BA degrees in Economic Theory and Political Science from The American University. She is active in the software startup community and takes a special interest in artificial intelligence applications.

What is NPS

Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a management tool that can be used to gauge the satisfaction of a firm's customer relationships. NPS has been widely adopted as a key metric often linked to the revenue potential of a company’s product or service. The metric is based on customer responses to the question: "On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend the product to a friend?"

Those who respond with a score of 9 to 10 are known as Promoters, and are widely associated with behaviors that create value, including actively encouraging others to use the product or service. Those who respond with a score of 7 or 8 are categorized as Passives, and they are believed to be less likely to exhibit the value-creation traits of Promoters having a largely neutral effect on other consumers. Detractors are those who fall in the score range of 0 to 6 and represent dissatisfied customers of the product sometimes actively recommending against using the product.
