The overall company culture is amazing. There are of course opportunities for growth and advancement in every department.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I have had a great experience with the company in my 3 years here. The company as a whole is phenomenal, however work could be done in each individual department. This year I have seen a decline in team member appreciation, making The Breakers not stand out among other similar companies anymore.
What makes you most happy at work?
Seeing my coworkers and making guests happy.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Increasing all wages to accurately match the housing/rent increase in south florida.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is encouraging and helps each other out. We all want to see each other grow.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all very close as a team and truly care about each other. We can make each other laugh and have a great time at work.

I can rely on my team if I need help. They are there for me for work related items, and personal items if needed. We are a very close team.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone encourages each other to grow, whether that be in your original position or venturing out into new positions within the company. I feel valued in my department by leadership.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We see what our guests are paying for room rates, food, etc. and how much it has grown over the years. While we receive generous raises, it does not compete with rising inflation and cost of living in Florida. Post Covid, we have significantly less benefits for the team members.
