I have enjoyed learning about the various types of events and the skills that come with food and beverage in hospitality. I wish that we had better department leaders and a more healthy professional environment, but my time working the events has been postive and educational
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are very friendly and approachable while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect
What makes you most happy at work?
Seeing an event run flawlessly from beginning to end and hearing the guests excitement when they enjoy the event
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Our management team needs much more leadership development. We are being lead by a department head who divides rather than unites, and creates a hostile environment. This does not match the overall breakers culture
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Many coworkers do not respect the management team which leads to petty and immature behavior. They have hot tempers and often refuse to do the basic tasks of their job if they dont feel like. Many people talk behind each others backs and create rumors and drama
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
After almost a decade at the breakers, i have never received a raise depsite the alarming rate of inflation. Depsite having an annual salary that looks okay on paper, it does not compare to today's cost of living. An annual raise, bonus or overtime pay would help this.
